JetStream v5 delivers enhancements to allow AEC project stakeholders to work more effectively together and is from today freely available to NavisWorks Bondholders to download and upgrade. JetStream v5 will ship to new customers from April 7th.
This fifth major product release from NavisWorks retains the JetStream name to maintain awareness of the consistently improving streaming technology that delivers ever better large model handling from the real-time engine that powers this world leading design review product and is one of its 3 unique key features. Unrivalled 3D design & laser scan file format compatibility and an easy to use rich review toolkit complete the foundations for a powerful product that will save users time and reduce the risk of problems on site thus saving money.

Enhanced To Improve Productivity & Quality
JetStream v5 is designed to help streamline the AEC management process to improve both productivity & quality. This fifth release from NavisWorks includes a host of workflow and communication enhancements and delivers significant new features for both existing and new users across the product.

File Formats
Unrivalled support for the most popular 3D design software is, in JetStream v5, enhanced and supplemented by an optional reader for Aveva's RVM* and an exporter for Autodesk's Revit. For the first time in any commercial design review application IFCs are supported both for geometry and object properties.
Database Support
JetStream v5 further enhances access via the 3D virtual model to information required to build and maintain the real thing. Recognising that access to data is becoming increasingly important, JetStream v5 adds an interface to allow easy access to ODBC databases for bringing through properties such as cost, shipping dates, and other specialist data to allow the 3D model to become the digital information hub.
Time-Based Clashing
Employing both the power of Clash Detective and TimeLiner plug-ins to add value to both, JetStream v5 introduces 4D clashing to identify interferences in time. Especially useful for workflow planning, the functionality has already been used in 2D civil projects to save considerable costs and reduce planning time and on-site conflicts.
Enhanced Realism
Dramatic improvements have been made to allow any user to produce highly realistic output using the Presenter plug-in. Backgrounds now move with the model and give reflectance off appropriate materials, RPC content can be added and the addition of image-based lighting gives amazing exterior renders quickly and easily.
